iPhone Wallpaper – How to Change iPhone Background
Want to change the wallpaper on iPhone? To change iPhone background is super easy. Here are step-by-step instructions (2 different methods) with screenshots on how to change your iPhone background.
First, find a new background wallpaper
You can use one of your photos or find a new one from here: Aesthetic Free Wallpapers for iPhone by SaturdayGift.
Option 1: Change iPhone Wallpaper – Use your Photos
Using your own photo as wallpaper is one of the most popular ways to customize your iPhone. Of course, you can use the default wallpapers. But where’s the fun in that!
You can upload any picture you like and set it as wallpaper on your device. It will be visible on all Home screens, including the Lock screen.
Option 2: Choose one of the iPhone backgrounds I’ve designed for you.

Then save the image on your device
When you’ve found the wallpaper you’d like to use, save it on your device.
On iPhone: Tap (and hold) the image above and save it to your phone (Add to Photos).
Tip: Create a new album and add all the wallpaper images there.

On Computer: Right-click and “Save image as” on your desktop. Then f.ex email the picture to yourself and open it on your phone.
Method 1: How to set the iPhone background the easy way
Here is the first way you can change the wallpaper on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open the photos app & choose an image.
When you’ve added a new wallpaper to your photos (or you know which one of your own photos you’d like to use), open that image on the photos app.
Tap the share button in the bottom left corner.

Step 2: Choose “Use as wallpaper.”

Step 3: Zoom and tap set on the preview screen
- Tap the button at the bottom of the screen (in the middle) to turn the perspective zoom on.
The perspective zoom option slightly moves your wallpaper when you move or tilt your phone.
- You can also pinch to zoom in and out and move the image.
- When you’re happy with the result, tap Set

Step 4: Set the photo for lock screen, home screen, or both.
You can use a different photo on the lock screen & your home screens. Or you can use the same one for both.

If you want to use the picture for the lock screen, tap Set Lock Screen.
If you’re going to use the photo only for the home screen, tap Set Home Screen.
If you want to use the same image for both, tap Set Both.
And you’re all set!

Method 2: How to set the iPhone background via settings
Here is the second way to change your iPhone wallpaper (via settings).
This the default way to change wallpaper on iPhone, but I like the first method better.
Step 1: Go to your iPhone’s settings and choose Wallpaper.
- Go to the Settings app
- Scroll down – tap wallpaper

Step 2: Choose a New Wallpaper
- Then tap Choose a New Wallpaper
- Select one of your images.

Tip: Here, you can also tun on the setting: Dark Appearance Dims Wallpaper
Step 3: Choose a photo from your camera roll
- Select one of your images.
- If you saved a new wallpaper, go to “Recents.”

Alternatively, you can use one of the IOS wallpapers:
- Dynamic: Dynamic wallpapers move a little when you move your phone.
- Still: These backgrounds are static.
- Live wallpaper: Live wallpapers are animated wallpapers. (Note: iPhone SE doesn’t support this feature).
Step 4: Zoom and tap set
- Tap the button at the bottom of the screen (in the middle) to turn the perspective zoom on.
- You can also pinch to zoom in and out and move the image.
- When you’re happy with the result, tap Set

Step 5: Set the photo for lock screen, home screen, or both.
