How to play bingo (in a nutshell)
Some may already know bingo, but let’s have a few basic instructions.
- Each player has a bingo card with different numbers on them.
- The caller draws a number and calls it out.
- All the players look for that number on their cards; if they have it, they mark it off.
- The first person who marks off five numbers in a row (up, down, diagonal, or across) wins! As long as they call out BINGO!
How to set up a bingo game
Playing bingo is so much fun. Here are the instructions on how to set up and play bingo using printables:
- Print out as many different bingo cards as you have players. You can find 30 different ones in this post.
- Print out the calling cards: one with bingo numbers and the calling sheet.
- There are 30 numbers on the calling card. Cut them out, fold each, and place them in a bowl.
- Use the other calling card to mark down drawn numbers, so you have something to check when a player calls bingo.
- All players have their own bingo cards.
- The bingo caller will pick a number from the bowl. It’s the first number called out for all players to mark on their cards.
The game continues until someone has created a row, column, or diagonal line of marked numbers and has called out BINGO!
More information about the free printable bingo printable set
This free printable game has everything you need to set up a fun and educational bingo game for the whole family.
Usually, bingo cards have numbers from 1 to 75, but these printables are from 1 to 30, so the game will be a bit faster and more fun for even the little ones.
- The calling card has all 30 numbers on them.
- Each bingo card has a 5 x 5 grid, 25 squares and 24 numbers in total.
- In the middle of the grid is a free space.
All provided bingo cards are different, so make sure each has a different number in the upper right corner.
Tip! Use candies or Hershey’s kisses as the bingo markers! Give each player one card and have them place the pieces of candy or small treats on the squares. This way, you can reuse the printables for a new game.
And now that you’re all set, you’re ready to play bingo!
