How to use the Wheel of Life
There are numerous different areas you can have in the Wheel of Life.
I’ve chosen 16 different areas in two different templates that cover most of people’s lives. If some category is not relevant to you, you can cross the area over and write another area that suits you better.
Step-by-step instructions on how to use the Wheel of Life
Here are the instructions how to use the Wheel of Life:
1. Print out the Wheel of Life #1 and #2
Download the wheel of life #1 & #2 here:

2. Go through the questions below and assess each area with a scale from 1-10.
- Numbers 1-3 means you are suffering somehow in that area and would need to make a change to feel better
- Numbers 4-6 means you are surviving and making the best out of the situation
- Numbers 7-10 means you are thriving – everything is already going well or great and with little changes might go even better
3. Color each sector according to it’s number and your feelings towards the area of your life.
Note. There’s no right or wrong answers. This tool is about your feelings and you never have to show these templates to anyone, so this is the perfect change to be completely honest to yourself about your life.
The change starts and ends with us, so this is not a blaming game. When we realize that we can only change ourselves not others and we are responsible of the things happening in our lives we start to feel empowered. And when that happens nothing will stop you and the sky’s your limit.
