The easiest way to memorize multiplication tables is to find patterns or skip counting.
But for 7 times table, there are no excellent tips and tricks. This is one of those tables you’ll just need to practice. And then practice more.
Example: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84 – you see very random. It doesn’t repeat itself. (The final digit repeats only starting at 7 x 11.)
But there are a few things you can consider helpful when teaching your child the 7 times table.
You can always use the repeated addition of 7 (adding equal groups together) to get the same answer as using the multiplication table of 7.
7+7 = 14 (same as the answer for 2 x 7, which is 14)
7+7+7 =21 (same as the answer for 3 x 6, which is 21)
7+7+7+7 = 28 (same as the answer for 4 x 6, which is 28)
and so on.
Math fact: Seven is a prime number and is only divisible by itself.
