Tips for 8 times multiplication table – Is there a trick for 8 times tables?
The easiest way to memorize multiplication tables is to find patterns or skip counting.
Here are a few helpful learning points and tips:
With 8 times table, you need to double, double, and double once more!
Example: 3 x 8 = 24, which is the same as when you
- first, double the 3 (which is 6)
- and then double the 6 (which is 12)
- and then again double the 12, which equals 24.
Example: Notice how the last digit goes down by 2 with each answer:
With the 8 times table, there is a pattern. The solutions to the equations always end at 8, 6, 4, 2, 0, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0. So skip count the last digits down by two.
